Women Empowernment
According to a recent study, every third woman in India has experienced some form of violence in her lifetime. This is a staggering number and it is high time that we take a stand against this heinous crime. It is not just a women’s issue, it is a human rights issue and it is our collective responsibility to work towards eliminating it. Despite years of progress and awareness, this issue continues to be prevalent in every corner of the world, including our own country. The Free Smile Foundation regularly organises awareness programmes to bring about change in the society by eliminating violence against women.

Simple acts of kindness for a better World!
It was a beautiful winter afternoon in Dehradun, the capital city of the state of Uttarakhand. Nine-year-old Vikky was excitedly coming out of school with his friend, Rohit. As they walked towards the main road, Vikky’s eyes lit up at the sight of an auto rikshaw waiting for passengers. He grabbed Rohit’s hand and ran towards it, eager to get a ride home.
As they were getting off the auto rickshaw near FRI gate no. 2, a speeding bike suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Before Vikky could even react, the bike hit him with full force. Rohit screamed in horror as Vikky fell to the ground, unconscious and bleeding.
